"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Awesome, dcp, thanks. I'll check it out.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Xmas shopping fail. I went out and spent an enormous amount of money today. Of that, like two things are actual gifts (one for someone I already have something for) and the rest, not so much.

On the plus side, I have a shiny new flatscreen tv and HD DVR.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Just in case anyone was wondering, TJ's candy cane Joe Joe's ice cream is pretty tasty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

From watching the Mo'nique Show, Aldis Hodge seems to be a momma's boy, both in the "raised real well" way and in the "she better like your ass" way.

If anyone needs to know.

Another TJ's tasty item I can't ask Kelly to bring me. Le sigh.

I like that kind of Christmas shopping. However, it doesn't tick names off your list.

I bought my brother a season of Top Gear for Xmas. He likes cars and is otherwise impossible to shop for so I thought, what the hell. But now I am having serious doubts and fell like I had to go buy him a sweatshirt or something...gah. I hate when it's down to the impossible to shop for.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I think top gear is perfect for a car guy, unless he has no sense of humor about cars

You're probably right. He's just very hard to read.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Moar Stig. Always a good thing.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

IO9, fer crissakes, is supposed to treat me better than this.

Everyone is supposed to treat you better than that!
