ION, the broken pipes are mostly fixed and the plumbers gone for the day. I am verra happy with the new plumbers. Now we are taking some samples in to get them tested for asbestos. I'm crossing my fingers that there aren't any highly toxic minerals in my house. So far, the one expert who looked at them said we were safe, but we are testing to make sure.
Oh that would not be fair, broken pipes AND asbestos!

I had been wondering why some men felt a need to make the proposal such a spectacle after seeing the video of a ring being presented by a otter (I think). The explanation that the proposal is for him and the wedding is for her kind of makes sense, I guess. I'd want a no stadium/arena rule though.
bah. Still waiting for our bus which was supposed to leave 40 minutes ago. All they can tell us is it will be here soon.

Hec, I just posted a pic of the new hair on fb. I'll be curious to see what it looks like tomorrow when I am not professionally flat-ironed, etc.
Dang it, how does my sister do this? She calls me like every single day, between 4 and 7pm, whenever she's headed home. Today, when I actually have something to tell her besides the usual griping about our jobs, she doesn't call. And yes, I've called her, which was as unsuccessful as it always is, because she turns her cell phone off unless she's making a call, and I already left a message for her at home which she apparently didn't listen to. It's frustrating. I know she doesn't mean it to be, but how come I can only talk to her when she calls me?! What if I had a damn emergency? If she calls me a couple times and I don't answer, she gets all nervous until she can talk to me, but I can't get in touch with her. Okay, I'm gonna call her at home again.
Kelly's flight is already delayed. Now I'll be picking her up closer to 11. At least.
