Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

And then she caught herself and said "I can't believe I just said that! In an interview! Who does that??!?

Did you tell her she would have gotten geek cred if she had used frelling or frakking?

Now tagless for your comfort.

prophase! metaphase! anaphase!

Just like Bella & Edward. *gag*

Liv has a playdate over. I'm making them spaghetti for lunch.

I need to talk to my tattoo place to see if they can airbrush company logos on my body for my Polar Plunge. I'm going to try to get some sponsorship that way to raise more money.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I might hire her based on that alone.

I won't lie, it didn't hurt.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why the fuck don't people accept meeting invites, when they intend to attend the meeting? Or, better yet, why do they accept the invite but not send the response? That's too lame to even be passive aggressive. It's just mean.

Also, unrelatedly, I don't mind movie remakes. It's perfectly possible that *this* version could be the better one. I don't have to like The Wizard of Oz, for instance. I might like the next one.

hwæt

I don't mind remakes per se, but I do mind lazy halfassed filmmaking. Which is what 90% of the current crop of remakes are.

But True Grit looks like it's going to be awesome.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I only send a response if I know it's a small group of people (so as not to inundate the senders mailbox) or I'm actually sending a message back.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wow, this is really cool: [link]

Yeah. I love things like that, that reveal what the brain is really up to....

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Middleman

Grapes of Wrath! My Little Pony! Flowers for Algernon! Guns of Navarone! I need to watch that and take notes.

It's been snowing all morning here. I slid twice coming back from the grocery. Deceptively pretty snow, with icy evil underneath.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Dang - DH just had to pay $200 out of pocket for his DTaP booster! It hadn't even occured to me that insurance wouldn't cover a vaccine, but I now understand why most adults aren't up to date on their pertussis vaccinations.

Still, that's fucked up. Vaccinating adults for pertussis SAVES BABIES' LIVES. Are all insurance companies run by Wolfram & Hart?
