How come when I'm trying to keep a short hair style, my hair grows like crazy and I struggle to keep up a reasonable maintenance schedule. But when I'm trying to let it grow out...it seems like it isn't growing at all.
I made a call today to cancel something that normally would have meant a loss of my $99 deposit. But because they misrepresented something and I called them on it - I'm getting the money back. Woot!!!
Now I just have to hope that all the other potential candidates will be too busy over the holidays to even notice the announcement, much less apply.
Who could be more qualified than you, Consuela? Unless they have been unhappy with the work you have done to date, I would be shocked if they didn't keep you in place.

In reality? Nobody. But if a veteran applies who meets the very barest level of qualification, that would trump my four years of actually doing the job, according to how the math works for scoring applicants. I understand why the system is in place, but the likelihood of any veteran who qualifies actually understanding and being able to do the job is... slim. Even with my background (which is fairly unique) it still took me about a year to get my brain around the program.
