So to also make yesterday the day of suck, we also had Grace's IEP that I think I may need to take to due process. FUCK. An OT looked at her and actually said that (1) her biggest problem was occular tracking (wha?) and that (2) she can't do anything about it because of the trach, because normally she puts kids in passive neck restraints to get them to track. Really? So that's it. Not her inability to play with toys at midline, her left side weakness? Her poor perception and sensory motor control? All of which OTs are supposed to deal with? This is going to get fucking ugly. I think I need a lawyer.

The upside is that Grace's teacher, Ms. Leslie, is wonderful. Grace is actually, according to the teacher, the smartest kid in class, which means that she is probably misplaced at Lowman long term. She said that for Kindergarten, she'll need to probably move schools because she'll need more than Lowman can do.
There are two other kids in her class that are still at Totally Kids, the facility where Grace was, including S who was Grace's roommate!

S didn't have a lower jaw nor thumbs, probably, at the time. She's a cutie.
T is the other kid and he's sort of a nightmare at TK, but is better out in public. He needs a home to go to.
