FU Yankees! Ha Ha.

Anything that brings sadness and misfortune to the Yankees makes me very happy indeed. I never feel particularly Bostonian until it comes to sports.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When I lived in New York, my response to anything about the Red Sox was always, "I don't care about baseball, but I hate the Yankees!"

Hah. I would love to live in New York, and I think I could absolutely get behind the Mets just so I could support a local team. But I could move to NYC tomorrow and stay there until the day I die and I'm pretty sure I would still hate the Yankees.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

An unbelievable rotation of guys that the Giants BEAT last year in the post season. ;)

Indeed they did. And ours were all home grown.

You talking to strangers people are weirding me out.

You talked to me and I'm pretty strange.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I like the Cubs. So I hold out hope that some day my great-grandchildren might live to seem them win the World Series....

Heh. The headline at the Giants blog McCovey Cove is in line with java's thinking:

Phillies Sign Some Guy Who Lost to Giants Twice in World Series

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Timelies!

Woke up to the best news this morning and am very bouncy as a result. I've been asked to perform a song with The Cheap Suit Serenaders. I was already going to the gig because they only play one gig per year, but now I get the immense pleasure of singing with a fantastic band and getting to introduce my CD to people in the lobby. Now I just have to figure out how the hell to afford or sew a new dress before the gig.

Otherwise, this am I'm planning on helping my mom get some of my late grandma's items up on Craig's List or Ebay or Etsy, whichever seems most appropriate for the item. Lots of photo taking, processing, copy writing and some HTML. Good thing I got good new this morning to keep me peppy.

I hope y'all have swell days (free from swelling...unless it's your wallet)!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I think my entire goal in life is to avoid talking to strangers.
