Aimee, if it helps, I have three students that are in the same situation in that they forgot to take the exam this weekend; they are all good students but just really busy. I am suggesting to them that they re-take the class from me - it is the same book and pretty much the same assignments so it should be fairly easy for them to do well. I know the extra time and money for a re-take may be a issue for them but the better grade will help their GPA and, when the transcript is reviewed, the fact that they took a class again to improve their grade might make the difference in close decisions about certifications or scholarships. If nothing else, they can spin it into a success story about life lessons learned and obstacles overcome in a future essay assignment.

Thanks, lcat. I had a flipping B, so I'm pretty upset with myself over it. But I'm trying really hard not to totally annihilate myself over this. The grade gets replaced and noone is the wiser except me and the advisor I spoke to. And you guys. And if I retake it, I can get an A and not have to buy the book over again.
sumi - I missed it!! We don't have cable anymore. Dang not having cable.
Does anyone have an extra $300k I could borrow? I really need to buy this townhouse.
How about this, Jess?
Nice, but without an address I can't tell what school district it's in.
Also, you would have to immediately take a sledgehammer to the tile in that bathroom.
It's 100-something Cortelyou Rd, between McDonald and 2nd.

Hmm. Too far southwest to save an imaginary $100k that I can't afford anyway.
Also, that bathroom is hideous.
Jess, I don't think you are thinking this imaginary purchase through. An imaginary $100K is nothing to imaginary sneeze at.
