I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My collection of glass figures is to the point that I can just about use only them. It's pretty amazing looking.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It can equal stress, but it's much like coaching, I would imagine. I love it, it's rewarding, it's a thing I really truly belive in and love doing.

But damn, the being an adult part sucks sometimes, and there are one or two kids you would like nothing better to do than launch them into the stratosphere.

Speaking as a Brownie leader (2-3rd graders), the girls are pretty much great. There is one who is kinda nuts, but several who are awesome. It's the parents, the planning and logistics, the Girl Scout office, and the forces of nature that make it stressful.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am developing a full hate-on for the holiday.

Mine is fully developed. Since I am, as usual, going to my mother's for Christmas, decorating sometimes feels futile to me. On the other hand, not decorating adds to my feeling of being an utter failure as an adult.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Say, can any of the male buffistas or non-male buffistas who shop for men's clothing, please recommend a nice online store where I can order my BiL an oxford shirt, please? He's 35 arm, 17.5 neck. I usually just hit up LL Bean, but everything except the plain French blue shirt that I got him last year seems to be back ordered into January. I'm hoping to spend less than $50 on it.

$50.00 is pushing it, but try J. Crew or Banana Repulic. BR's quality has been going down lately, though.

Apparantly she has been singing with them for quite a while. Way to keep up, Aimee.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I've been spending the weekend going through my numerous Christmas playlists, eliminating duplicates, adding recent acquisitions, etc. I've put off the extended SMTBJC until now. It's 8 hours with a lot of duplication, including at least 5 versions of "Shepherds in the Field Abiding" aka "Angels From The Realms Of Glory" aka "Angels We Have Heard on High" using two different tunes.
