You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I don't want my electronics to judge me. Well, at least not that one. My laptop knows my sins.

Well, sure. You want all your baggage to be portable.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I've done FUCK ALL today. Nursed a hangover, fetched lunch (sammiches from here) and dinner (curry from here.) That's all. Didn't get out to the Ninth, didn't clean the house, didn't do laundry, didn't change the sheets. Oh, I did write a blog entry though: [link]

My joints go weird the week before and the boobs change shape. And I just know when it starts. It'll wake me from a dead sleep. 2 hour later, I have 6 hours of cramps, less bad than they used to be. Joint weirdness keeps up throughout. It usually gets me obsessing that I have arthritis of the toes and my knees are gonna blow sooner rather than later. And then it stops. t /TMI

So I just ran cookies over to my neighbor who raked my leaves. OK, I knew his house decor was really nice having seen it last winter in the great roof adventure, but I did NOT know he was an interior designer. He can NEVER see my house. OMG. But, he's got construction contacts, so that is good to know. Also, his italian greyhounds are adorable and finally warmed up to me. And we ended up talking for a long time. And I now know who to go to if I want to watch a period piece, he's got an insane movie collection (he was watching Enchanted April when I came by.)

He's been there 22 years, which... I can't believe he must be in his forties, at least. I'd guess him my age, but that's kinda impossible.

Anyway....my goodness, today was VERY Neighborhood-Likes-Carrots!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I love the vegetation-themed Christmas carols. The Holly and The Ivy, The Cherry Tree Carol...

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I woke up late, contemplated the fact that staying out until 2:30 is much harder on me that it used to be, went to Home Depot to buy more things for my futile organizing effort, mulched some leaves, and went out with my neighbor to celebrate her divorce, which had dragged on for a decade.

Crap, I bought Tyler the same shirt I got him last year. Oh well, I'm pretty sure they'll be happy to exchange it. Or I'll donate it and get a different one. Kinda like that idea. Shirt in question: [link]

I think I'll get a gc for a nice restaurant for the brother & bf. Saw some things in Land's End that could be for Dad. Now something else for mom.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

ita, when are you leaving for your trip? I'd love to come and have indian!

I made shortbread and I've figured out the mystery to the best shortbread. Don't use granulated sugar. Use confectioners. holy mother of god it's yum!

Also the rondele pub cheese, while not trader joe's, is amazingly delish and it saves me an extra trip and $$.
