I screwed up. The Victorian event is TOMORROW. I went all the way to the Arboretum to find that out. Will try hard to get out there tomorrow.
On another subject, I'm unhappy that so many museums, etc. offer discounts for students and seniors but not for disabled people. Most disabled people have higher expenses and lower incomes than students.
I would also be in trouble if OBs disappeared. I have a Moon Cup and I guess I'd try that out again.
I hadn't been able to find Ultra for a long time. I don't think it had been in the SoCal market, and I seem to recall having had problems finding it in Michigan too.
I don't know what's up with your lack of Super, though. I refuse to panic about lack of my favourite tampon. I've been using them since I moved to the US (closest thing to Lillets), and I don't want to switch either.
I vote sets too, Perkins.
I had originally tried to find my sister wooden earrings on etsy, but without a more specific idea than wood, it was just too imposing to navigate.
We get each other jewellery most years (when it's not goats). She gets me earrings, and I get her a necklace. Except she's an earring fiend, and I'm compulsive about necklaces. Oops. But this year I remembered.
I wonder if she's getting me anything this year. She found me an antique sword in Thailand, which I'm covering part of the cost for. I'm so excited about that, I don't need anything else. Travel gifts are good enough for Christmas.
Which reminds me, I should ask her what "we" got our parents for Christmas.
Oddly enough though, I am drinking a clementine Izze.
Ain't nothing odd about it. It's the one true non-Ting carbonated beverage. I'd be drinking one now if they were already cold. Instead, it's San Pellegrino.
flea, I was wondering the same, as Target had NONE. Not even a space for them.
Today has been long: market, Target, TJs, leaves, holiday market ( [link] ) where I got tshirts and spoons and dish towels with interesting things on them. People don't tell me what they want, this is what they get.
Now I need to walk to the pool, then hit Giant and bake some cookies.
Well, I have been reading this [link] and there is a lot of concern that o.b. is being discontinued overall. Scroll all the way down. Apparently they were bought by Johnson & Johnson.
FUCK. I cannot use playtex or tampax or the moon cup, due to issues resulting from Casper's birth. And I do NOT want to go to pads. Apparently there is a web site that will ship you Lillets from the UK, but I've never used them and am not sure if they would work for me.
Fuckin' A you do not mess with a woman's menstrual products.
Seriously, I'm alternating between rage and near-tears. What the fucking fuck?
drugstore.com shows having Super in stock [link]
What makes the ob so good for you, flea? Just out of curiosity. I tried them once, and had a bitch of a time getting them in properly.
I have consistently found OBs to be the most absorbent. I get way fewer leaks with them than the few times I've tried Playtex or Tampax. I would seriously look into getting Lilletts if OB went away. I've also become weirded out by applicators, because I so rarely use them.
Snowing now - just changed from giant snowflakes to more businesslike smaller flakes.
Huh, that did not come up when I searched on o.b..
I like them because they are shorter than playtex and tampax, and I have a degree of uterine prolapse - tampax get pushed out, but the ob are pretty easy to keep in. I haven't tried the diva cup but I think it would be problematic keeping it from leaking with the way my cervix lies. I used ob long before I had kids, and have never had any trouble inserting them. I like the version they make in Europe better than the US version - I think maybe I started using them when I lived in Greece. The US kind have also recently changed for the worse - their vaunted "spiral grooves" and "smooth coating" both make them less absorbant for me. But they stay in, which I can't say for the alternatives.
