"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd originally intended to go try the new steak place that just opened up on my block. But long lines convinced me to dine in instead, so it was Mediterranean filo cups, salad, and half a turkey sandwich tonight.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday Consuela!

Mmm. Just had delicious Indian take out for dinner. So good. Sooo sleepy now.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Slow cooking makes everything good. I dunno about the for you part. My goose stew turned out okay. Could have done without the rice vinegar, I think. And maybe I could have done more apricots. But it was pretty good, and hey, it had apricots and carrots in it, so it must be good for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Burrell, have you ever eaten at the Indian place on Westwood just north of Santa Monica? We should go there some time. It's really good. Plus? Goat.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am sleepy too, but I need to clean the kitchen, and the SO is sick, so it's not going to mysteriously happen for me. OTOH, I can sleep in tomorrow morning.

eta: Mmm, goat. I've been craving sheep lately, but the goose had to do.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

The Crock-Pot was given to me second hand. I don't have any instructions with it. Though, I wonder if I could find some on the web somewhere...off to look.

I have eaten there ita, but not in years. It is good. We just got take out from Mayura, which is Southern Indian food. Dosa! And the best chicken tikka masala I've had in yonks.

Hey DJ, how does Indian food in India differ from it's US counterpart?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I mostly use my crockpot for steel-cut oats.

I wanted to celebrate my birthday by going out but I feel like crap. So I stopped at the grocery for sushi and a ginger beer and a bag of baked cheese curls. And I have watched last night's Fringe. Not exactly a wild night chez Consuela.

Now I want Indian food, even though I'm kind of full.

Quester, I have a doc of 7-8 favorite slow-cooker recipes I put together for Suzi (I think). Do you want me to send them along?
