Squeaking in with a happy birthday, Perkins!

It's beginning to feel and sound like fall. It's maybe 70 out, but dry, and when the wind blows, the leaves are rustlier.

So I was crazy and swam 2 miles and then scraped one side of the post. Am sore. The detail work is hard on the fine motor skills. Especially when I'm pmsing, so all my joints are wonky and prone to doing weird things and giving where they don't usually.

Looks like I'm going out carousing with my neighbors again this weekend (in addition to marketing.) Feel like I need to get some fun clothes, cause my usual uniform of tshirts and shorts or jeans isn't really going out stuff, and my work clothes are too formal. But I really needn't spend more money these days.

Because books.

Cash, run away!

Right? It's exactly like that here in the evenings, and it's gorgeous. Just crisping up and clear, clear starry skies at night. LOVE. I want to get out all my sweaters.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But I really needn't spend more money these days.

Target. It's still money, but you can get something cute for under $20.

Fall is bittersweet for me. Light is lovely, it is open window weather, I can get back to my walks around the lake (when I find the time,) but it heralds winter, which I emphatically do not like. Especially after last year. I adore summer, as hot and insane as this one was. I prefer it to the dark and cold, hands down.

Yay, Kat! I think someone mentioned it earlier, but whoo hoo on getting books!

Me, too. But my perspective on winter (aside from the dark thing) changed after living so far north. I sort of expect this winter to be a non-event for us, even if it's as bad as last year (which I doubt). I am grateful we have off-street parking, though.

Yay Kat! It took me a few to figure out why I couldn't vote earlier today

I always hope to, but my top half presents even more an issue now that I'm this size. Dresses are a bitch. But I'll try.

I really need some new clothes for work more urgently (stuff is wearing out,) but it isn't budgeted right now. I just realized I'm wearing some tops that are over a decade old. They're from my last skinnier phase, though I'm even thinner now. Somehow, I didn't get rid of them in the past few purges as they were favorites, and I am glad of it now. Thank god my work style is basic and classic.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy birthday, Perkins!

Happy birthday to the Phoenix! I've been hanging around here for a little less than 8 years.

Hey, I went to vote for Kat's project, and it says it's funded!

Hooray!

Yay fundage!
