Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yes. We are terribly old. It is very sad. But we are still managing to straggle up to our keyboards so all is well. We are why I get all in a snit about people who disparage internet communities. We have been together through birth and death and marriages and divorces and illness and good fortune. It is not fake people! This is not a fake relationship. I have known you over a decade, as opposed to internet disparagers whom I have only known the merest smidgen of time. Harumph.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

" Next time look around before you get out of your car. Be thankful that nothing actually happened. It was a positive experience to make you more aware."

Sounds like a great example of mansplaining!

Glad for good interview, smonster.

I am flying to Baltimore this afternoon for some time with my parents and the family friends that lost their matriarch and patriarch a couple years ago for a musical celebration/memorial.

Just had a conversation with my sister that makes me think that my grandmother is not long for this world. At (almost) 94, it's not unexpected of course, but any ~ma that she is comfortable and maybe hangs on till I can see her a week from today would be much appreciated.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We had to publish our posts the old-fashioned way...uphill...in the snow...

Remember when we had to write our posts using nails and our own blood for ink, and then tie them to the legs of pterodactyls to deliver them to the server... and then most of the time the pterodactyl would just eat the post because of the blood on it....

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, man, I was just on the stupidest conference call ever. At least I was at home in my jammies.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I've gotta admit, Frankenbuddha, that's one of the few marches that would tempt me.

Right, exactly. When he announced it, I was like "huh, that would be one to make" and then I did the calculations in my head and realized where I'd be that day.

If the weather is good, then my daughter will get to go to her very first march on the Mall!

I think weather is going to be the determining factor. Although as long as it isn't torrential rain, I might brave it anyway.

Always Anti-fascist!

I know that my social worker thinks it is sad that I have such a big online life. He does not say so explicitly, but they are not deep. You don't have to be that guy on Lie to Me to get that.
