We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Got sad news today. Whitefonting for sad:

One of our former students died last month. He was at church camp and left his hiking group. They thought he headed back to the camp, but he got lost, and so it was several hours before they realized he was missing. He got lost on the 3rd and they found his body on the 6th. It was in the 100s all that week; 109 on the day he went missing. He died from the heat and dehydration. His name was Moses; his mother, Mary, was one of our good friends from years ago in Kansas. We knew Moses when he was a laughing, bright eyed preteen. He was only 20 when he died.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I almost wish you'd offend me one year so I'd get forgive you. Alas, yet again, it is not to be.

Nilly offends me by not living closer and hanging out with me more. I forgive her for that every year.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh Liese, that's heartbreaking. I'm so sorry.

Swouncing

Thanks, you guys.

I so deeply miss y'all. It's silly, because you're definitely a constant presence in my life (H never blinks when quite a few of my stories are my-friend-from-the-USA did-this-or-said-that), but I just so wish I could be a better presence in yours.

Oh, Liese, that is so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We miss you too, Nilly! But we understand.

I make this awesome squash risotto from Mario Batali. Tomorrow I`ll see if I can look up the recipe; it`s super simple (if somewhat labor intensive) and delicious.

Thanks guys. I kinda can`t deal. I guess it`s too early for me to be able to process. I just found out today. His grandmother wrote me a letter...with a donation to our org.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm sorry Liese. What a heartbreaking story.
