Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Can you record rather than write? If you lack appropriate devices (unlikely) they are cheaply available at Target and such.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Just landed a ticket to "Who is Harry Nilsson (And Why is Everybody Talkin' About Him)?". It's going to take me an hour and a half to subway and bus there but it'll be worth it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I had something to say but now all I can think of is ow, hand. Hope the swelling and pain subside soon, ita.

Oh, right, decapitated body! We had a dog find a human skull on the Navajo reservation recently. Maybe it`s the missing head! </inappropriate> Hee.

Good classes today. The kids really retained well over the summer, and the new ones are doing good. Now it`s peaches for the rest of the day as I try my hand at canning. Peaches in apple juice and peach jam. We shall see if the day results in sunny deliciousness all winter or tears and recriminations.

Because books.

We shall see if the day results in sunny deliciousness all winter or tears and recriminations.

Every time someone attempts canning, I go right to poor Meg in Little Women.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

My dad got his first tattoo a few years back. And then last year he showed up with his second -- a huge thing on his calf with an angel and a devil. This was the one he got while deciding on the tattoo he REALLY wants. So, Steph, expect more!

More advice requested: I have too much skim milk and am making dinner for a friend Friday. Any common recipes that use up a lot of milk? Maybe lasagna bechamel. I'm at a weird loss. (She's making dessert so that's out.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most of the shit I need to get done is doc prep, so it's typing or nothing.

Two o'clock got cancelled.

Man, my accuracy is for shit with just one hand and a thumb. It's kinda weird.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Pretty much that or mac and cheese are the only things I can think of. Or soup.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm screening the 1994 congressional hearings on tobacco and I feel dirty just listening to these guys lie through their teeth.

I can't figure out why they bothered to talk to those lying millionaires. Why didn't they just pop outside, to wherever the smokers were huddled out of the freezing rain and ask THEM whether or not smoking is addictive.

ita, you need voice recognition software!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Any common recipes that use up a lot of milk?

There are some great Italian recipes that call for braising pork in milk. Super tender and yummy.

Because books.

I was going to say soup, brenda. It's the only thing I can think of other than some kind of sauce.
