My uncle John admitted my aunt Carol into a hospice facility yesterday. They were hoping she could stay at home, but no. Don't need any sympathy, just had to make note of it.

msbelle, I can see your pictures of flowers, yard, and house stuff, but not the haircut.
I am at home, on my couch, and ready for the tennis to come back now please.
I'm waiting for Hoarders to come on. It looks like the Mother of All Garbage Houses is on tonight.

I want many of these shoes. How rocking are they?
I blame my mother, who never bought me the Wonder Woman Underroos I wanted so desperately for the fact the I MUST HAVE THE WONDER WOMAN SHOES!!!!!
Flickr is defeating me. I have a yahoo ID, and it is probably linked to my flickr acount, but it was pre "Sophia Brooks" and I don't think I remember the name!
Well, hell. Apparently my aunt's decline is accelerating exponentially. Was going to call her tomorrow, but have just been informed that she's no longer receptive to that. So. I wanted to get up there one more time, just kept being a procrastinator/in denial. Too late for that shit. Guess next time will be for the funeral, goddamnit.
She's always gonna be my cool aunt, smoking Kools on our back patio as she brushes her to the knees hair to dry. The one who, when stuck in a hospital bed in her living room last month waiting for her pain patch to kick in and perusing the picture from my trip to Nepal and Bhutan, answered her husband's query as to what we'd been doing with a whimsical "Oh, not much. Just traveling to the other side of the world and climbing mountains" and then asked me what other vacation pictures I had so she could get in some more traveling. The aunt who snarked at the inconvenience of dying but "at least it got people I love out of the woodwork. And my quilts will FINALLY get finished! And hand quilted!"
Yeah. Mightacouldawoulda. Done.
Bah. I'm sorry, Sara.
Cute hair, msbelle!
