Yet another Time Warner brownout. I may have to carve some space out of my meager budget for my own ISP. This crap doesn't seem to annoy my parents enough to make them quit Time Warner (although it is a lot of crap. They go hours without and they also try to get my BIL in here to troubleshoot the system a lot.)
I was trying to avoid this for budgetary reasons. Also because I figure brownouts will drive me to be productive offline. But I'm working with a designer for some promo for my album now and there are deadlines so no internet during deadlines is a real problem.
I hope everyone has a swell weekend!
Did I mention that I think you should do a reading at the children's book store near me as well.
The one on Pico? ITA!
Also, YAY vacation for Perkins! So deserved!
Thanks! I don't know about deserved, but it is sooooo needed.
If there is a need then it is deserved.
Okay, I think Grace is FINALLY asleep which means I go to bed now.
Walk good, Perkins.
I'm off to try and sleep. Oy.
The one on Pico? ITA!
yes, the exact one.
Good night, Kat. Good night, Perkins. Have a wonderful trip.
I got into a mild tiff out there in the world wild web beyonds with a woman who told another wife not to take too many vacations without her man, or she'd lose him.
Pfft. I think that's ridiculous. I love my husband, but he is a homebody, and also, not as adventurous as I am. We can take nice food, art or geek-oriented vacas with each other, but I see them as shorties. If I were to want a beach vaca with lots of 'ritas, dancing and possible wildness, i would totes go with my girlfriends. He would be miserably bored. And sunburned. And that is just fine. If he were to want to go to some crazy geek-fest with his internet friends, I would be happy to have the house to myself for a while.
I trust him; he trusts me. We have our similar interests, and our separate interests. And that makes us well-rounded as individuals AND as a couple.
I have a twitter question. On the twitter website itself, a person's background page behind the box with all the posts. Where is the setting, or how can you close the post box to read that background page? I know I am missing something really obvious.
On the main page, settings is at the upper right, and then from that page clicking "design" will give you the option of changing the background.
Here's a direct link that should work: [link]
Kristin, are things feeling better with your mom here?
So much better. She spent the morning at the hospital so I could go to work and has just in general been helping me out. When I came home last night, she had CLEANED OUT MY FRIDGE, like, literally cleaned all the shelves and gotten rid of everything old, and filled it with groceries. I almost burst into tears.
And Matt, that place sounds amazing. Remind me about it in a few months?
Perkins, yay vacation!
