I had no idea about the "just deserts" things. Oops.
Our new oven has a convection feature, and Jake's birthday cake baked up ENORMOUS. Huh.

So your dessert can be your desert? That's kind of awesome in a confusing way.
Rather than tennis, which usopen.org will not give me, I'm watching MST3K: Catalina Caper.
I would like some enormous cake now, please. Also Thai food.

This weekend I'm going to get some drawing done, go visit my best friend to drop off his much-belated birthday gift, and some combination of the following (1) hook up with a guy who's been flirting with me (looks increasingly likely he's one of those flakes who likes the chase and has no follow-through, though), (2) go see Mindy Cohn's Violet Tendencies at the gay film festival, and/or (3) go see Machete at a drive-in like God intended it to be seen.
The Men's Semifinal and the Women's Final air tomorrow, and the Men's Final on Sunday. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.
Me and my big mouth. Frankie is now not only being treated for ringworm, while the culture grows (two weeks), but he apparently has ehrlichiosis. So now he's on antibiotics plus the topical antifungal, and needs to go back in two weeks. Plus next month he gets a hookworm retest. I get it, universe. Preventatives are important.
