Snarl. Hiss. Grrrrr. Carpet cleaners were supposed to do their thing this morning. Panera institutes a 30 minute max free wifi from 11:30 - 1:30, so when I got bumped, I figured I'd head home. To find nothing had been done.
I went directly to property management and found out that the appointment never got scheduled. I had even asked if I would need to confirm the appointment when I talked with them last week and was told no, it would happen. Luckily the cleaning company is on site and will do my place when they finish where they are now.
So now I'm in Starbucks. Thank gosh for free wifi. Still, feeling very grrrr-arrrg and the glow of FREE CARPET CLEANING is wearing off.
Pad thai is usually not terribly hot, pepper-wise.
I tried a Thai place here when I first moved to Colorado and the Pad Thai was sweet. Cloyingly sweet. Took me a while to brave another Thai place. But my second try was a charm and found THE place. Plus they deliver. BONUS!
DH's dad wants a new car, a used Mustang convertible, but they only have $1,000 saved up and have decided their kids should buy the car for him. They already have two cars, but the junker he drives makes him feel "depressed," apparently.
Um, WTF?? Seriously?
Yeah, meara--and this after we all ponied up a big chunk of change to send them on a luxury Alaskan cruise for their 50th anniversary. Which is a totally great gift and I was glad to take part, because 50, woo hoo! But they have a nice Jeep Wrangler and their second car does not need to be a convertible their kids pay for.
The Thai place near work sucks. Now I have no idea what will get me by until I can get decent Thai delivered for dinner. I guess I should suck it up and do my groceries. And see what comes of that.
How is it only 2:26? Did somebody stop time?
It's only 1:49 here, and time has definitely stopped. Doesn't help that I cannot keep my eyes open! Soooooo sleeeepppyyyyyyyy...
I only have an hour left to go, but it will be the longest hour of my life.
Both my home and work neighborhoods are overrun by decent-to-great Thai restaurants. I'd happily trade a few of them for a good Indian place instead.
I've got both a great Thai place (called I Am Siam) and a wonderful Indian restaurant (India House) that I'm tempted to stop by tonight for takeout. I'm really in the mood for some chicken tikki masala and garlic naan.
