I just pre-ordered Sam the Bat. So psyched.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Tonight, I'm stopping by the library on the way home and doing my research for my first class paper, due tomorrow morning, which I'll be writing tonight. After class tomorrow, I'll be doing some grocery shopping, getting my hair cut (waaaay too long--I think my last cut was around Memorial Day), then cleaning the apartment and doing laundry. Dad's coming up on Sunday to hang out, watch the Bears game, and then probably go out to dinner.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am having such an urgency disconnect with Replacement Guy. I have no idea what he does with his time, but he looks at me so blankly every time I ask him about anything. He gets halfway through shit and just stops.

As not-the-most-motivated person in the world, it's really weird to be faced with this.

Also, where is my boss?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Do I need to pack my parka for Yosemite next week?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't know, but you do need to have an AWESOME time so you can tell us all about it.

And try not to get bitten by a moose.

Do I need to pack my parka for Yosemite next week?

Yes, or at least some sort of warm jacket. It will probably be cold at night.

And, wow, that snuck up on me!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm glad we've sold the farm, but I dread everything that's involved with actually completing the process. Mostly the driving to Tennessee part.

Zenkitty, sorry if I've asked this before and forgotten, but where in TN is the farm? Or, in other words, how close will you be to Nashville?

Zenkitty, I wish you safe travels and for the love of all things holy, I don't care how bad you have to pee, DO NOT stop at The Bean Pot.

Truer words, smonster! Man, we stopped there all unknowing on our way to Asheville in May -- not just to use the bathroom, but to eat! What fools! Never before or or since have I had a meal that was so uniformly brown, fried, and disgusting. Plus, what smonster said about the horrifyingly racist knickknacks for sale. Just ugh ugh ugh all around.

ION, my plans for the weekend involve Resting and Not Planning a Wedding. I can neither confirm nor deny that they may also involve cooking Spanish tortillas and cleaning the bathroom.

Librarian Warlord

Where are you going in Yosemite, Tom? In the Valley you probably won't need a coat during the day, and it depends on what you think of as parka temperatures at night.

And I second what Perkins said about having an awesome time!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Probably not, Tom. Layers, yes, and a warm hat goes a long way towards coping with unexpectedly low temps.

Speaking of planting things and not expecting them to grow (what? That was less than 24 hrs ago): one of my ubiquitous avocado-pits-in-a-jar has split and produced a bit of a root system, though no greenery.

OK mystery solved. Bean Pot is racist and awful food.
