Ya ever write a long post and then it glitches out on ya. Yeah. Me too.

Short version - floors about 75% cleared for carpet cleaning. Need to declutter when it goes back in place.

Dinner - PeiWei ordered online so I can customize without being judged.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Marvin Gaye's version is the only version of the anthem I've ever enjoyed. But it's not mine--I don't have the emotional attachment. I adore it to pieces.

Erin, do otc sleep aids do nothing for you?

I am sorry, sleep issues are a giant pain.

Hivemind - if I wanted to plant the seeds from my Hatch chilis would I just plop them in the ground or should I let them dry out?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think you should let them dry out, but I'm not an expert.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Did you get the seeds out before you roasted?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

msbelle, my body does a giant HAHAHA at OTCs. It even kinda snorkles at anything less than 15 mgs of ambien.

Stoopid brane.

Because books.

OTC sleep meds are just benadryl, aren't they?

OTC sleep meds are just benadryl, aren't they?

Usually, although Unisom and its clones are doxylamine, which is a different antihistamine.

And then there's melatonin. I hope there's nothing against mixing them, because on the bad nights I totally add them to Ambien.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My shrink gave me anti-anxiety meds (Clonapin) to help with sleep. None of the OTC things that people generally use - Benadryl, Nyquil - have the least effect on me. But I don't think I'd told her that.

ION, huge relief, my sister is on board for the dog sitting. She'll come stay at my place while I'm in Mexico, hang over the weekend while I'm there, then take the girl to her place while I'm in NY. That's about the best possible arrangement Darb-wise, and good for Gracie too. I won't be able to spend extra days in either place, but still.

Plus I got a dog-sit offer from a friend I probably wouldn't have thought to ask, so for future last minute needs it's good to know she might be an option.

Lucy I could just take her to my dad's or sister's and leave her for however long, but Darb has such issues that I can't go there, not for this long a time.

ETA: Melatonin should not have any interaction issues with Ambien. [Not a doctor, but daughter of a board certified sleep medicine professional.] How dark is your bedroom? Ambient light can really fuck with natural melatonin production.
