Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Happy birthday to your sis, whose Buffista name I am tragically unsure of. Nutty? Erm. I had forgotten we're almost the same age - I turn 35 on the 21st.

Happy 35th, Nutty!

The ancestry stuff is pretty cool. Liese, I know my family hasn't records that were destroyed at Hiroshima, but we have missing stuff due to Japan's invasion of China their subsequent renaming of people.

I am super surprised at the difficulty I'm having with Hawaiian birth records though, for my gram and gramp.

My free trial with ancestry.com ends next week, so I'm going to print off what I have and be done. I know more than I used to!

hip deep in pie

Just FYI, a lot of public libraries subscribe to ancestry.com - though you may have to use it in the library to get it free.

Yeah, our archives has the same deal. They also have access to our Vital Stats Records DB, which caused a bit of a flap, because it is free from our website, but behind a paywall at there's. Which is a way of saying, look directly at archives websites.

Happy Birthday Nutty!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies Nutty!!!

My mom's side of the family are Finnish. A bunch of family records were destroyed when the Russians burned a Finnish church during WWII.

OK, the people who predicted the Rapture? Their website is already down.

Heh.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We're having a sit-in at our house this morning, and by we, I mean mac. Refusing to get dressed or go to school (which has already started, btw). He also defiantly just sat in his bed and emptied his bladder this morning. wtf kid. I am ignoring him at the moment, about to start work. He knows the deal if he does this: no tv, no electronics, and I don't make him lunch.

Punishingly Intricate

So, looks like my friend's brother had a mini-stroke (or transient ischemic attack). They sent him home with meds after all his symptoms except for a slight headache had subsided. The odds of having a stroke after an TIA are pretty high comparatively so that's a worry but at least they are on alert now. Thanks for well wishes.

ION, fucking housing market and useless realtors and money and grrrrrrrrrrr. Slept badly, up early, and have not enough coffee and a headache and way too much thinky work today. feh.

IOON: Happy bday, Nutty! And Happy bday, Spidra!
