Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

JUST MET NEIGHBORS WITH 9 YEAR OLD BOY THAT MAC HAS MET AT SCHOOL!!!1!! THE BOYS ARE PLAYING. Not sure it will be a family that I have a great connection to, but OMG NEIGHBOR BOY TO PLAY WITH!!!

The next stage of the master plan is to get mac to invite him to play over here more often that mac goes over there. I think the boy would actually love coming over here as he has two teenage sisters in his house and it seems they have friends over a lot.

My major accomplishment of the last 24 hours has been not Killing All The Children. I also Picked All The Apples (1/2 peck short of a bushel, 4 kinds.)

Because books.

I've Unpacked A Lot of the Things, but not all.

Any of our gardening people know what this is? It's growing along the fence in our backyard.

Amy, that looks like Sweet Autumn Clematis, a vigorous perennial that blooms in the fall only. It can be cut back thoroughly and will come back just fine, if it's Taking Over All The Yard.

Ooh, thank you, flea! I just wanted to cut some for a vase, actually.

Any idea on this one? There are a couple of bushes, but they're giving only one or two blooms a day, and the shape and branch reminds me of a rose bush. There's a pink one on my Flickr page, too, that I cut, and inside it has a bright yellow stamen.

I am starting a giant bag to go to Half-Price Books on Tuesday. I am trying to be really aggressive and get rid of a lot. The goal is no double stacked shelves and some empty space. Brutal.
