I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We have churched and then spent many hours at a church cookout. much fun. mac had 2 friends to play with and they had an inflatable water slide and water filled bouncy house thingy. I made a connection with a mom of a highschool boy who does babysitting. YAY! Ideally he will start coming over one day afterschool and staying until about 5. Also worked out a plan with my mother and a friend of hers who is an ex-school teacher, mom will start picking mac up from school one day a week and the friend with meet them at the house for an hour or so until mac gets used to her and then she'll start spending more time. Eventually we hope this lady can be a back-up for picking him up or possibly babysitting when my parents are out of town.

I got 4 new OPI polishes yesterday:

You don't know Jacques - Matte
Tickle my France
Barefoot in Barcelona
Ski Teal we drop

I am wearing the Barefoot in Barcelon on my hands right now. Very subtle and conservative as I plan to go get some applications for work this week. I will either do my toes in the Teal or Jacques (Matte).

The Matte says not to put a top coal on it, but I really liked it with a top coat. thoughts.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

::sigh:: I just overcomplicated my bread. I never seem to proof enough volume, and by over-evaporating the liquid part so that I'm at least 1/2 a cup short on flour, there's even less there there. I hate teensy loaves.

Then again, at the rate I eat...

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Well, that ended up far more complicated than expected. I had addresses of two dry cleaners. I used GPS to get there, and neither one seemed to exist. One of them was in a shopping center with a bunch of empty stores, so maybe it used to be there. The other address got me to a dead-end street going up a mountain, and as far up the street as it said to go, the only thing around was a farm. Definitely no dry cleaner.

So then I went to Staples to get a printer, chair, and paper clips. Ended up with just a printer. Then Office Depot, where I got the chair and paper clips. Also spilled Chex Mix all over my car, but I'm tired and I'll figure out how to clean up the stuff that got in between seat parts tomorrow.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, where are you finding All the Sherlock Worth Reading? The one comm I know of generally has me making 0_o faces by the time I've scrolled through two pages of it.

Oh, umm. By reading ALL THE SHERLOCK.

Right now, my only standard for reading is "are there hideous typos in the summary?" and if there are not, I give it a shot.

The bodyswap that went up today's not half bad. I'm trying to decide if it's good enough to delicious. Delicious, BTW, is where I'm looking for anything actually good. I'm looking at the tags sherlock, sherlockbbc, john/sherlock and sherlock/john.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ita Plei, have I mentioned that I think you should put together a list of fic for me to read during the next few months?

Cuz I do.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I've laundered all the things, after Thursday evening's fun with water streaming from the bedroom light fixture. My mattress is finally dry so I should be able to sleep on it tonight. I'm so looking forward to that.

It's been gorgeous here, so I've opened all the windows in the apartment and walked the cat a lot. I love September in NC. It almost makes up for August.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Four of twelve. I am now very sweaty, somewhat dubious of my original plan, and need more furring strips. I am thinking about stopping there and swimming, although the lake will be super crowded for the holiday.

I'm sitting with the windows and doors all open, hoping my wash isn't ready for the dryer yet. Cause once it is, I have to start stripping paint. Dun wanna, but there's really no other option.
