Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Because books.

That happened to me once in my boss's new car. This had to be ... in 2000 or so maybe? The GPS lady wanted us to turn off the 59th St. Bridge into the river in the worst way.

Then the driver fell asleep in traffic, and crushed the hood of the fancy new Audi, which has nothing to do with the GPS, but was startling all the same.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That darn ceiling cat!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Creepy good Denzel impersonation. I swear, it even makes him look more attractive.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Bah. You're just leaning. It's a whole different vibe.

No. I'm looming, I swear.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Liese!

In happy me news, my Zoya order arrived. Someone is painting her nails tonight! I love all the colors, I just wish I had ordered the olive green one too, but oh well. Live and learn. I decided to err on the side of duochromes instead, on the logic that I can buy a decent looking creme at the store, but I can't seem to find a duochrome that I like as much as the Zoya and Nubar ones.

I also feel a bit of anticipatory guilt about the polish box.

The status is NOT quo.

No. I'm looming, I swear.

Who's a cute little loomy Goth? YOU are!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee! What anticipatory guilt? You can`t have guilt about the polish box!

My Nubar order is all awesome so far, although I definitely will need to figure it out as far as shades go. I have been won over to the Diamont. There is definitely less chipping. I need to try the quick dry drops, though, because my dry time is still a bit longer. Today I`m wearing the Venetian Glass Vino. I really like the sparkle and depth of that collection. I like it better than the glitters.

I had a really nice mellow birthday. We tried to hike the rim trail but it thunderstormed so we went for a drive instead. Maybe tomorrow. Then the SO grilled me a delicious steak with corn on the cob and squash and zucchini. Oh, and carmelized onions. So good. Now we are chilling and watching Season One Northern Exposure.
