Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Weather is so crazy. I was just sitting here wondering when the hurricane was going to get here, and all of a sudden it's windy and rainy! Hey, Earl.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've decided I don't like being 5'8 anymore. It's not tall enough (at my proportions, which are perfectly regular, thanks) to always get pants in long, but tall enough that most pants don't break right. My jeans are too short. I hate them.

Also, either you tight spaces people are weird or I am. No, Jesse, it's not whatever-works-for-whover. Clearly one party or another is in the right, and the other is in the weird.

OK, so you're the weird one. Case closed!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've decided I don't like being 5'8 anymore.

I know how to fix this! The nurse at Stanford who was measuring me today decided I was 5'7, even though I've been at least 5'8 every other time I got measured, included last week.

Gah. You are so right. I'm also 5'8" and have the same issue with pants all the )#*$* time

Because books.

Being not quite 5'4" is no picnic either, people. I would kill to be 5'8".

I think everyone should just plan to get pants hemmed. Not that I do that, but that's why I only own a few pairs of pants. But you know, they are a given length, and most people's legs will be a different one.

5'4" is the same problem as 5'8", isn't it, just on the other dividing line.

3 more spindles strippered up. This is gonna be a megastripping weekend.

msbelle, glad you have some direction and insights. Gotta be utterly exhausting for you in the near term, but hopefully it will help him develop some effective self-soothing skills.

Many happy birthday wishes, Liese.

I haven't measured my height in ages. I've always said I'm a smidge under 5'6", but I'm almost always wearing heels of some sort, so few people think of me as that (friend once greeted me at the door when I was in flats with "Wait, you're short!" ) If my pant size decreases any further, I'm going to have length issues. It's pretty near to it now, at 6/8 depending on the cut.

ION, a few weeks ago, I got roped into posing next to one of our machines for a big glossy report going to HQ. I figured they'd ultimately decide to use one without me in it. Instead, I get a call from the graphic designer working on it telling me I'm really photogenic. Which....yeah, that's one thing I've NEVER considered myself. I guess it is a good picture? I haven't seen it yet.

Thanks, Jesse. That's what I was thinking, but I don't find myself talking out loud about Twitter very often.

I'm not on the Twitter myself, but that seems like what one would do.
