The body sock thing kinda freaks me out, but I am going to be talking to mac's therapist about all that stuff. He does this thing when playing his DS or reading where he gets up on his knees and puts his head on the floor and gets all contorted. no idea what it is all about, but I bet it is sensory related.
Kat, anything you don't need I'd be happy to take. I spent $140 yesterday on stuff. Let me know what shipping is.
I think I am going to get a sand table for outside also, but I think I can do that for pretty cheap via freecycle for wood and sand.
thanks, Calli! the good thing is that my friend is experienced in the ways of tattoos. so she's doing all of the legwork. i wouldn't know where to start!
those socks are truly odd, ita. why even bother having a sock if that's all it's going to cover?

And you know they're going to move around too. I can't imagine the point or the comfort.

This was my reaction.
While I can sort of appreciate the 'mule' sock, the reason I wear clogs and mule most of the time is to avoid socks altogether!
When I was a kid, we had one of those sectional couches that goes around a corner, creating a triangle of space behind the corner piece. When I was getting overwhelmed by stuff, but still wanted to know what was going on with the rest of the family (i.e., hiding out in my room would put me too far away), I would sit down there. It was just the right size for me to sit with my legs curled up a bit, and there was enough light to read if the dining room light was on, and I could listen to what was going on in the living room and dining room without having to actually participate for a while. (Before we had that couch, I'd done pretty much the same thing by turning a chair around to face the wall.)
I can see those "foot rings" being good for dancers, maybe? But the toe things made me shudder.
Strong quake hits New Zealand
A strong earthquake of 7.4 magnitude hit New Zealand, 4 miles southeast of Christchurch, the biggest city on the nation's South Island, in the middle of the night local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Friday.
Some residents posted Twitter alerts talking about power outages, damage and large aftershocks.
Note to sister: Moving to NZ won't get you out of the earthquake zone.
The Jamaican tennis player plays Andy Murray today. I have discovered I can watch usopen.org video from work. However, one of my co-workers can see my screen. Grumble.
Scary about the earthquake.
My weekend will involve stretch class, soccer practice, and house work. Can't complain there.
