I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Thanks Cashmere, will be going to Lowes later today to buy sand. WHEE! Now we have a weekend activity to do together.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have four days! Actual days! My Saturday students all cancelled but two, so I cancelled them. We`re off from the band this week so we didn`t have reharsal last night. And Monday the schools are closed so no traveling music school. Whoot! This is the first weekend we`ve had in, like, years.

And today is my birthday, so I`m only doing things I want to do today. So far I have slept, read, watched tadpoles, made sugar water for the hummingbirds, eaten toast with mango jam from the farmers market, and drank Kona coffe on the deck with the dog.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I love Moon Sand. It's very calming to me--I play with it with my kids and always get a kick out of making it.

Punishingly Intricate

I love Moon Sand. It's very calming to me

I was just thinking I could use a container of that on my desk.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LIESE!!! Your day sounds pretty dreamy so far!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies, Liese!!!

msbelle:

Any chance that people have moon sand they no longer want? or stress balls? or koosh-like balls?

yes. Want me to send some stuff?

I'd also recommend time spent in the ball pit and bouncing. All of that is good for sensory integration.

Also, [link] is a great link for interesting stuff.

Because books.

Happy birthday, Liese! Wishing you cake and continued happy!

I play with it with my kids and always get a kick out of making it.

We used to have Play-Doh nights when the boys were little, all four of us, and it was SO relaxing. All of Sara's is dried out or mixed into various rainbow shades right now, so maybe we'll try making some moon sand, too.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Happy birthday, Liese!

Calli-

That episode of Buffy with the invisible girl? It didn't really resonate because being invisible was the high point of middle-school for me.

Yeah. There were about four years where, in general, it was a good day if nobody spoke to me. And several kids had it worse than I did. I prefer not to think about it, but I don’t think “teasing” and “bullying” are adequate words.
