"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Friday! What are people doing for the weekend? Who has three days off?

Not me. I have four.

I'll be finally getting my car back from Maine, and hopefully doing a nice costal drive in the Miata my brother lent me in order to get it. I'm just not sure when I'll be able to head up, due to Tino...I mean Earl. My plan was to go tomorrow, but I wan't to make sure the route I'm taking hasn't been flooded out or strewn with wreckage.

Although, all told, I will have had 12 days off. Except it hasn't all been fun and games, though it has been good.

I will spend all day Saturday and Sunday herding cats at the Decatur Book Festival [link] It's my third year as a venue captain and they decided to make me sort of an uber captain over three stages with new stage captains. It will be an interesting experience in being three places at once.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

About how much should I expect to spend for a loveseat that's not total crap but also not top quality? I want something that will last at least several years and look decent. Would $300-$400 be reasonable to budget?

I hope to get to see Polgara this weekend. And we're going to the Aquarium for the last time, yoga. Nothing exciting.

I still have one more week of summer break until I have to teach again. But we do have teacher meetings two days next week..

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I may see bon this weekend. That's about all I have planned, except getting my apartment in order just in case.
