So the hostages are free and the hostage-taker is in custody, though they don't know if there are more explosives in the building.
(Which you wouldn't necessarily know if you had been watching MSNBC, which cut to three commercials as this, the only new information released in about 3-4 hours, was being announced by the chief. Nice work, news!)
DJ, I think I know what you saw. Humans, indeed.
I have "Age ain't nothing but a number" stuck in my head now. It's the song I think of as the dirty-old-man song, and it's making me feel defensive. Which, silly. I'm a good girl. Woman. Whatever.
Huh. MSNBC is saying the police killed the hostage-taker.

The humans? The planet does not need humans.
Well, I hope that eases the conscience of whoever had to pull the trigger.
So far MSNBC is the only news source (Twitter doesn't count) saying he's dead. Other networks are saying he was shot.
In totally unimportant news, the hotel around the corner from my house has flight attendants staying there, and they are always getting into a shuttle when I walk by on my way home. First, I think it's a fairly nice hotel, so huh. Second, I can't figure out what airline they are with! Because of course I can't obviously stare at them. The uniforms are red with some purple accents -- I think the men have purple vests. Also, the women wear a shitload of makeup. It's impressive to look at outside in daylight!
Whoa. I had an internship at that Discovery location a few years ago.
Hey you guys, I just heard from msbelle that mac ran away an hour ago -- she's asking for prayers that he's safe. Holy shit.
Oh that child.
I'm sending him mental messages to go the fuck home RIGHT NOW!
Oh, god, mac. Go home!
Jesse, you're making me think there should be (because it would be incredibly useful) a flight attendant uniform site (eta: that you can search by colour, not just this).
