hip deep in pie

I'm sorry, msbelle. It's totally okay not to like how hard this is.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

amyth! How goes things in the office? I actually checked my work email a little while ago and then left a vm for BJ, mostly to keep up with the PS compactor saga. ::sigh:: Forgot to tell you, C should be able to keep pretty busy without me but if you need additional help on something just check in with her.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh msbelle, I hope tonight is easier for you.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

smonster! Miss you. Things are okay. The fact that I'm here on the board at all during work should tell you that there's a minor disturbance in (my) force, but it's relatively minor. I'm slowly getting a grip. The Vicar came over yesterday, which was v. nice, especially since I haven't been to church in ages. (She says hi.)

C. kept very busy today washing carts, and won't be back until Friday, but thanks! HEADS UP: we are going out to lunch on Tuesday (the day you come back) at 11:15 for the following six birthdays: you, me, beej, Intern N., Intern S., and E. Insanity. The usual location.

I had a quiche for lunch.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

{{msbelle}} I wish there was something I could do. May it be much, much easier on the both of you. And I wish you could get some peace back to your life and routine.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh msbelle, so sorry for the craptastic day. I have days like it too, when I know I need to let go whatever it is, but the little imps keep on pushing all my buttons.

I wish I had more to offer you than empathy. You are an amazing woman doing an amazing job. Is there some kind of treat you can give yourself later to help you get through pick up and homework?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ah, msbelle, I hope he's calmed down by the time you pick him up.

Shir, it just seemed a little harsh, I guess. He's not asking you to marry him or be his best friend. I'd hate for someone to write me off for something like that because of a typo I missed. Like Spidra, my hit to miss ration is less impressive as I age, and I'd hate to have it held against me.

That having been said, I do spellcheck profiles, etc. But I also see too many emails that I swear I've read and reread that went out with errors like that.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

msbelle, I hope that tonight goes more smoothly and conflict free.

I'm a crap speller, especially if I'm on my iPhone. I wonder if something autocorrected the band name.

In other news my donors choose grants got funded, both of them because a California-based non-profit funded all open/live grants in California in the Donors Choose system today. [link]

SO AMAZING.

I am writing two more grants. MAybe they'll be ready for the blog challenge?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Maybe he was on an iphone and it auto-corrected Whigs to Wings?

msbelle, forgot to tell you: I was mistaken and my parents did not have supplemental mental health insurance. My dad suggested contacting your local NAMI chapter for guidance (and maybe a support group?).

Lunch out on the first day back - good way to ease back into the work routine.
