I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

I am in a rage cycle this morning. as much at myself as mac, I guess. Just every attempt to put a bit of trust in him and take a step towards how a normal family would function seems to blow up in my face. He swore he had no homework, dumbass me decided to take him at his word and not check until Sunday afternoon. He had a science presentation to prepare with a printed page to make and turn in. That was our whole evening. he wasted over an hour fighting about it and then it took 2 hours to do it. So it's done, and then he refuses to go to school this morning. Literally, it is time to walk out the door - I have my purse on my shoulder and keys in my hand and he runs back to his room and gets in bed. Wastes 20 minutes with this routine and then comes out when we have 5 minutes to get to school. I left him in front of the school still working on getting his shoes on. I can't seem to let it go this morning I am furious.

Sorry about all the stress this morning, msbelle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, it's so hard to get out of a rage spiral.

I just got the funniest picture of my cousin's fiance holding hands with George Bush.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Lauren Graham WTF?

My best guess is she forgot to get dressed and stole a tablecloth when she got there. I really have no other explanation for that look.

The soccer season started over the season. It's fun to watch the kids play. Leif's team was pretty remarkable, it was the most coordinated offensive playing that I've seen in a kids game. It didn't happen every time they went down the field, but often enough they kept more or less in position and made crosses to wide-open players. It was enormous fun to watch Leif when he drove the ball up the field. They ended up winning some number in the teens to one despite lots of good saves by other team's goalkeeper. I'm glad the other team got that one goal, it had to be hard on them.

We went to Emaryn's game knowing she'd be on the bench the whole game. She has a damaged ligament in her knee, poor kid. Their coach told them the other team was really good and sure enough they got beat soundly. I don't think Em minded being on the bench, it's more about being on a team for her than the actual game.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Sorry about the rage circle, msbelle. That sounds exhausting.

I did some yardwork which seemed to help. Then knocked out on really tedious work task which did not help at all. Good news is that I have already put in 4.5 hours today, so I could just shove off in another 30 minutes, but I should probably just chug on and get in as many hours as possible.

Just dropped off Noah at his first day of preschool. Such mixed feelings.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess working through it is a good idea, msbelle.

Good god, I'm still trying to process Noah being old enough for all this. I just realised I dreamt about him again, because I have a picture of him in my head I'm pretty sure I've never seen. It's cute, though.

Why must my installation of Visio default to saving stuff in Visio 2002, which ruins what I've been working on? Now I pretty much need to start again from the top.
