Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good to see your pixels, brenda!

For a short drive that takes forever, try I81 from Harrisburg PA to Knoxville TN. The longest 550 miles in the world. It's all beautiful mountain scenery, and it's boring as hell.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It would take 2 days driving straight through to get from my hometown to the nearest state (Fairbanks to Seattle). Of course, you'd pass through 1 territory and 1 province on the way.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

The west coast is only three states! The east coast is like 75, 100 states!

Ha!

While I remain somewhat suspicious of beets, I have discovered that roasted golden beets with a brush of olive oil and garlic, and topped with shredded gruyère, is a most excellent snack.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK. I have cleaned some of the things and done some of the laundry. It's a start, anyway.

I was glad that a coworker said something about how on Saturday morning, you're up and whatever, but all of a sudden, it's 2pm before you've actually done anything, because that is totally my experience.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Thanks for checking in, Brenda. You can tell your sister to ignore the FB message from me.

Today I'm working from noon until 10ish, with a very annoying break from 4 to 6:30 (with nothing to actually do until 8). That's not enough time to go home so I'm killing time in a tiny downtown park.

Houston to Las Cruces is only 12.5 hours. Boring hours, no doubt, and I am sure long stretches of no traffic at all.

Yes. That section of I-10 is blearg. Worst is the approach to El Paso. I hate it. I've also done 20 from Dallas to 10. I think I've done it solo 4 times? Probably more with my family. And since the speed limit is 75 (I think) through most of Texas, you can do it in even less than 12 hours!

Time to vacuum and mop upstairs.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Random thing: As awesome as echidnas are, baby echidnas really aren't cute [link]

1. HOW CAN YOU EVEN SAY THAT OH MY GOD

2. Check the names in the comments.

I should put on outside pants and buy a drill, but I'd rather stay in my pajamas and cook all the things.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

So far today I have gone through a pain in the ass process to get my Schoolhouse Rock CD box set CDs (two of which are defective) to read on at least one computer so I could import them into iTunes. I've searched for a stake I wouldn't have to pay for in order to stake my Roma tomatoes. Which I did. And...that's it so far.
