And serial posting to say that I think Lucifer and Upchuck are great names. Maybe better for pets than kids, but still.

Compassionately intolerant

I know a cat named Lucifer and a dog named Chuck...and two named Chunk...but no Upchuck. I may suggest my friend with the hurling Shih Tzu rename him Upchuck. It does seem to be his raison d'etre. At least when he stayed with me it was.

I've begun my weekend by spending ungodly hours trying to combine 21 pdf files into one 'handbook' for my dog clients.

Many hours and 4 downloaded apps have finally seen the completion of this task and I'm fairly stoked.

I'm running a 'sale' this weekend, which reduces the hourly rate significantly enough that I wanted to leave the responsibility for printing the handouts to the owners.

In the process, I realized that it makes much more sense to do it this way. Now folks who are actually going to read/use the documents can get them before I arrive and have questions prepared and the ones who won't ever actually read these carefully produced gems will not be responsible for killing trees.

Everybody wins.

More than anything, I'm chuffed to have vanquished a software problem without having to crawl, whining, into the Tech thread.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Good onya, bonny. That's tedious work but it pays off in the end.

It really does!

I've been planning to produce an 'ebook' for paid download since everyone in my biz seems to need a product of some kind. This little victory puts me one step closer. So, that's cool.

My ongoing stress lies in the fact that my computer is a G5 powerpc that cannot be upgraded and the non-intel chip has been abandoned by developers. As a result, I have to scrabble for previous versions.

Still. The computer works and this product worked...and was free, so bonus!

Now that it's 3am, I'd better get some sleep.

Sweet dreams all.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I just got these shoes to wear to the bar mitzvah tomorrow! [link] I am in love. I have a longish rayon dress with a 30's feel, so I think they'll work really well. Jason and I are to dress the torah, so I wanted to look appropriately grown up.

Hmm, the shoes don't show up for me on that link! Sad.

I just found out that by not reading facebook for the past week or so, I missed out on my sister getting in a scooter accident on her husbands new scooter!! Good grief. Luckily my best friend (who I just got at the airport!! Yay! But is east coast sleepy) also has her friended and filled me in.

Our wings are not tired.

bonny, I don't have any time right now (in fact, it's 12:55 AM and I JUST finished working). It's the 4th 17-hour day I've worked in a row. But it's fine, sometimes work is just work.

ANYWAY, if you'd like, I'd be happy to look at your eBook and add such fancy things as bookmarks and such (for navigation ease) if that would be useful to you.

I tired. Go fall down now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Percy Shelley the Emo Cat flops. He'll pat my leg when he wants petting and then when I pet him, he'll arch his back and FLOP onto his side. So cute. Especially since he learned not use claws with the leg-patting. I still don't know what it means when he stands in the stairwell and yowls. He doesn't seem to need anything; maybe he just likes the echo?

This weekend is the No, Seriously, Company's Coming, I Have to Clean the House Weekend. Of course Leonardo the Whiny Diva Cat woke me at THREE AM for food and petting and I couldn't get back to sleep, and now it's almost seven and I'm sleepy and he's finally quiet so I'm going back to bed for a couple hours.

Off to the market. Too early. But necessary to get shit done.

My hands hurt. I think 6 spindles, even abbreviated spindles, is my limit. Ow.
