I read it a number of times, and IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. You can't do that. Not in 2010. You just can't.
Yeah. But I'm wondering - was it just one idiot who thought this was a good idea and implemented it? Or did a group of idiots have a meeting and come to that conclusion?
I have a local friend from MS, and she posted that article and noted that she was "Best Dressed White Girl, 1987 also Most Beautiful White Girl, 1986" at her high school. She wasn't even particularly surprised by the article.
But, the refrain is the best singing I've ever heard from her.
So true. I think it's the lack of autotune.

This is a really depressing statement.

Is attempting to reach jaw that seems to have relocated to the floor.
And I am from the South.

Did they also have a Best Dressed Black Girl and Most Beautiful Black Girl? Because while horribly horribly horribly wrong, I could see that they're thinking, "We need to be equitable and have 1 white/1 black of each thing." Misguided, but coming from a good heart.

See, I think they wanted to avoid angry calls by parents of white children if a black child would ever win.
I should note plenty of places in GA have segregated proms, still. [link]
And oh my god I ADORE that Cee-lo Fuck you song. Yet another thing I msut not sing in front of my kids.
