Calling him funny Pythonesque names is one of my favorite pastimes.
It's always funny!
Bartelby Cabbagepatch?
Totally.
I remember acting in a (short) play where one of the lines was "of all the illogical poppycock!" and the other actor had such a hard time delivering it without completely cracking up. It's one of my fondest memories of Kim*.
* Incredibly sadly, Kim went to ASU and her sophomore year was murdered. She was pre-med, straight As, tri-athlete. She was missing for a long time and some time later her bones were found a few miles from her house. [link]
ASU, not U of A.
I covered that case. It's a big part of what led to me leaving reporting.
I only travel with a stuffed animal if I'm really stressed out and I'm going to visit my parents or sister. Staying with anyone else or in a hotel, or visiting family while unstressy, the stuffed animal stays home.
Cass, yeah, I could only remember the Arizona part. You covered that case?? Fascinating. Kim was one of my best friends in High School.
Benedict Cumberbatch's name is like a cardboard box. All you need to do is apply a little imagination, and you can enjoy hours of free entertainment in a make-believe world with your invisible friend, Wooftykins Flossycack.
Kim's case really makes me wish for a real life Temperance Daesee Brennan, I tell you what.
I did. Talking to her family broke my heart. When they were using us (the media), that was cool. But we had to keep talking to them and it was just so distasteful. Asking how they felt... She was missing for so long.
It's actually nice to hear happy memories of her. I found some of my old clips last week and hers were right on top.
She was an awesome person, really. She had a laugh I can still hear. I remember her stifling it repeating the line, again and again, until all of us were lying on the stage laughing so hard we cried.
I cried, a lot, hanging up the "missing" flyers all over Alameda.
