Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

and she would pause everything if she saw a student with a confused look on her (my) face and ask what it was I didn't understand.

I've had calculus professors who could tell by my expression that I knew the answer, so I sometimes got called on for that reason. Usually I'd only raise my hand when no one else knew the answer, or sometimes I wouldn't raise my hand at all if I was afraid I might stutter.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I would think that would make it not so useful for drawing.

No, it's actually good. I draw with hard pencils to avoid smudging.

I will move you to the bottom of the pain worry list if that helps.

I can work on the recycled shit. Everyone else can have fresh.

I have so many tabs open in Safari that I think my laptop is going to explode.

I endorse this plan, as I suspect I may be benefiting from it in part.

Man, I thought a fist was going to fly in a meeting today. So much for being the nice place. Oooh.

Now I'm just pissed because people keep missing their meeting times, and this means no lunch break for me.

New-wise I'm definitely checking out Undercovers. Maybe some of the cop stuff--Hawaii Five-O, Blue Bloods.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The cheese on top of my microwave lasagna all stuck to the plastic wrap and is now in the trash can instead of on my lunch. Lasagna FAIL.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not yet. I'm actually a little pissed to be feeling better because it's happened two nights in a row and I cannot go through another night like that. I'd rather suck it up now when it might tell them something. But I'm going back later regardless.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What's Blue Bloods?

I'm not entirely sure what the plotline is, but Tom Selleck? Donnie Wahlberg? Cop family? I'll give it a look.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Do you think it's a reflux thing, brenda? Or muscles or joints?

But there aren't many *new* shows I'm excited about.

I'm very curious about the new series Scorsese is developing for HBO, Boardwalk Empire.
