Less pain~ma vibes to Polgara.

However, I still would not be able to spend $400 on a pair of jeans.

Yeah, the only way I'd pay that much for jeans is if Ben Browder would be breaking them in for me and then stopping by to strip them off and hand 'em to me in person.

Really, coats are the only items of clothing that I'll break three digits on. (Well, and suits, but I already have one that will hopefully remain serviceable for another decade or so...)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

msbelle, I do believe supplemental mental health plans are available, as my folks had (have?) one for my sis. Will check into it and get back to you.

Am not sleeping well tonight, and now there seems to be a thunderstorm rolling in. Feh.

Much ~ma to Polgara!!!

And I'm so sorry, Kat.

True, smonster. I think this is The Year of Best Interns. Too bad they're all seniors.

I'm taking the day off today to get a couch delivered and clean all the things.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Huh. You know, in my whole life (and hey, I turned 38 today -- crazy. I have know you guys for 10 years!) I have never spent more than $150 on a single personal item, like clothing. Computers, car stuff, moving vans, etc...yes. But not a dress, or shoes or a coat or anything like that.

I bought myself a garnet necklace when I got my Master's that was about $100, and a pair of $90 shoes that I still have that are my "good" shoes. Even my wedding dress was on sale, for $40.

That's...kind of sad.

Much pain relief~ma to Polgara. Amyth, I hope you have a nice, restful day off. Can't wait to see the new sofa in situ.

Thanks for the vibes, everyone. I'm just killing time until I can take another Vicodin (40 very long minutes). No breaking it up as it's only 3mm. The meds they prescribed were Vicodin for the pain, Motrin for inflammation, and something to ease the muscle that the damned thing is travelling through, supposedly to also ease pain. I have yet to hold any water down tho, so keeping the meds down has been an issue.

Thanks again, reading your posts helps keep me distracted. And sorry I didn't get back to all the text messages. Tomorrow, I promise. :-)

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

hip deep in pie

I hope you pass that sucker soon, Polgara! Feel better.

I am back at work for the first time in 10 days. I've been here 90 minutes so far and have gone through emails and chatted with my coworkers. Also I have pie for everyone.

Did I mention that there was no wedding cake at the wedding I went to, but there was an abundance of pie?

Sue, do you prefer pie?

I can't imagine no cake because I love cake and think of pie as meh.
