If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I had more than a 21 gal tote of shoes

Pretty sure I have that many just at work.

I would not want to count. But I have gotten way better at dispensing of the ones that a)hurt, b)are falling apart, or c) filled the same niche as something newer and cooler that I like better.

Otherwise I'd be totally out of control.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

The bed is SOLD! and gone! happy day. Now to get someone here to buy the plastic bins. Next up to sell: 2 car booster seats, vintage canisters, and some books. If I sell off everything else maybe I keep all the clothes?

Because books.

I'm weird with shoes. I find a pair of black boots I love, say, and I just wear them forever, until they self-destruct and I need a new pair.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Do you drink the Honest Tea/Honest Ade series, ita? I really like those for mildly sweet beverages. And they have teas and fruit drinks and stuff.

I do the same, but then I also buy them in brown and burgundy.

But but but! I need black boots with buttons, and ones with pink ribbons, and ones with glow-in-the-dark bones! Not to mention the pink boots, and the ivory and black boots with the red buttons!

(Some day the Thrift Store Gods will deliver unto me a pair of Fluevog Babycakes in the pink/cranberry colorway. I have faith.)

Clearly I have to get to TX stat! But PA will be spared.

Oh, I think megan better close her eyes tightly if/when he visits me then....

I used to love honest tea (it started in Maryland!) but don't like the current flavors as much.

brillig

I have two pair of sneakers, one pair of sandals, one pair of boots for when it's snowy/icky. I replace them when they wear out. I am missing the shoe gene. Perhaps it's like the ability to roll your tongue (which I can do).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do you drink the Honest Tea/Honest Ade series, ita?

I've only tried one Honest Tea so far, and I think I like the watery Snapple better.

I have a million shoes, most of them black, many of them a) boots b) mary janes c) ballet flats.

I still need another pair of mary janes at least. But I do have the holy grail of them--I wearing a black steel toed pair right now. IN MY SIZE (the orange pair are a little big).

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I want about a billion shoes. I think I have 12 wearable pairs (three pairs of sneakers, one pair of boots, two pairs of stilettos, two pairs of low-heeled pumps in black and brown, one pair of chunky black heels, and two pairs of spring/summer wedges), two pairs that need to be reheeled and resoled, and a half dozen more pairs that need to be either reheeled or thrown out; they're not really good quality enough to be worth rehabbing, but I feel bad just tossing mostly wearable and only partly broken stuff.

If we had a big huge house I'd totally have a shoe room. Or possibly a shoe annex off the vintage dress room.
