I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The Wait Wait Don't Tell Me program listed on their website claims to be new, but it's not new. They lie to me.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Award winning jokes from Scotland.

Does anyone else find the Worst funnier than the winner?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Does anyone else find the Worst funnier than the winner?

Not me.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Does anyone else find the Worst funnier than the winner?

I'm not too thrilled with either one.

Well no, neither is very funny. But I found the winner duller and less funny than the worst.

36 Extreme Close-Ups

My fave is the closeup of a dog's nose.

WARNING - Jilli don't click on this! as it has closeup of eyes of you-know-what....

Coding and Sleeping

I liked a few of the jokes, but I didn't think the winner was very good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Mine start next Monday, in their new school district, which is unreal. So not ready.

Emmett starts high school on Wednesday, orientation on Tueday. He's so not ready for summer to be over. When I said bye to him on Friday and mentioned that we'd talk about classes when I saw him next, he looked positively stricken.

However, I'm ready for him to go back. There was no camp this summer so he was around all the time, and since I've got Matilda home two days a week, it was difficult to keep them both entertained at times.

Though we did manage to find movies in common (Toy Story, Despicable Me) and activities (paddle boats on Stow Lake), and they were both remarkably good on our roundtrip to Portland which was a lot of close contact for everybody.

He didn't read a book all summer, though, so I suspect his brain has atrophied to the size of a prune. He did do lots of krav though so he's probably in the best shape of his life.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Bob just headed off to teach his first classes. Summer was too short! Even the hummingbirds currently making kripkat crazy agree.
