Stephen just called my cell to tell me not to open the bedroom door, because Switch is right outside it with a not!dead mouse in his mouth.
This is a gift I would rather not get, I have to say.

I KNOW!
JZ, I forgot you had several bosses to work for. I don't envy you that. I don't miss my days as an underpaid underappreciated admin AT ALL. I feel for you. I hope it gets better.
Scrappy made laugh.
Go Rangers!
Man, if you wanna learn how to feel old, return to a town 25 years later & ask about an old hangout - "Oh, the Espresso Bar? It closed 15 yrs ago!"
Huh, aside from historical things, I am not sure I'd think any business was still around in 25 years.

It was *the* place to go at the time because it was the only place in Pasadena (that wasn't a bar) that stayed open late even on weeknights. It had a thriving music and art scene around it. I imagine what happened is that when Pasadena redeveloped its downtown into "Old Pasadena" the rents shot up and they couldn't hack that. Bummer, though. And, yes, I feel like Rip Van Winkle.
What *really* made me feel old was that the workers at the place I was asking weren't old enough to remember it ever being there. They asked an older worker and he knew of it.
