"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Road trips: I takes them. I still play the games, especially the plates. In fact, I saw an Alaska plate yesterday and contemplated starting the game right then. We play it cooperatively.

Life has gotten much much easier since the advent of mobile internet, though. I can`t read in the car, plus I love sitting idly looking out the window so it`s less of an issue for me. But the SO now uses road passenger time as productive time. As a result, I drive a lot, since I don`t mind.

So! The liquid pencil! It is very weird. It writes like a ballpoint, which is to say, not entirely consistently. It feels like a pen. On the paper, it looks like a pencil, and it does erase cleanly. I have not had it long enough to see it turn permanent yet. I used it for marking up my lead sheets at rehearsal and that worked well. Although I scribbled something out and had to remind myself I could erase. I think it will take some getting used to, but overall, I like it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This weekend: today is date day! I bought this discount card off our friend`s son to support the football team. So we have lots of buy one get one free meals available and also free popcorn at the theater! So lunch and Inception. Then tonight the boys are coming over to watch Fletch. Yeah, I dunno. It`s an SO thing. Tomorrow teach and I`m finally back in rotation with the band. Sunday, church and yardwork, probably. My tadpoles are getting huge! I think it`s time to build their rockpile for when they crawl out.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Not sure what I'm up to this weekend. Life is in a helluva lot of flux right now and that drives my needs-structure-to-thrive self crazy. I guess I'll try to get my bday plans nailed down. I'll also try to take Metro Rail to the bike shop so I can coast my bike back home.

Whoever's been stealing our newspaper nearly every day missed it today so yay!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I canceled my cleaning service a week ago to save money, and now I remember why I hired them. So I will be spending this weekend cleaning my house.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

As part of my totems for today (not Inception style...yet) I am wearing a necklace Polgara bought for me. That and the cowboy boots are helping balance between the utter lack of concern some people are displaying and the total hyper involvement of others. I'm trying to be somewhere in the middle.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Wouldn't she be asking how many your school produced in some time frame?

This is what I was thinking. But, who knows?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I, too, get carsick if I read; I can't even look at a couple of magazine pages, which makes me furious. But I have discovered I can watch movies in the car without getting sick, which is a huge win.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Reading a book in the car gives me a headache, but I can play Angry Birds or follow a GPS map just fine.
