Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tonight going to see Crowded House!!!!!!!!

Rest of the weekend, remembering how fabulous the Crowded House concert was, plus cleaning, laundry, pilates and gardening.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Speaking of poor communications skills, I was forwarded this email this morning, with the body "Please advise":

Raven:
Do you all have updated numbers for the following statement:
a Rhodes Scholar, A Truman Scholar, six Fulbright Scholars and nine Pickering Fellows.
I think there are more but I am not sure what the real numbers are.
Thanks much, Mary

Honey, I can't answer your question, because I don't know what the fuck you are asking for. Asking me if "a Rhodes Scholar, A Truman Scholar, six Fulbright Scholars and nine Pickering Fellows." is correct makes no fucking sense, because I don't know what the context is!!!

So, I politely emailed back asking for the context of the phrase @@

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This weekend I'm going to attempt dropping off my drycleaning, washing my car, and tidying my room.

I'm not particularly optimistic.

Oh, and I need to iron.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Vortex, she is asking how many of them would walk into a bar.

Today I get a haircut! I hope it's good.

Me too! Try telling the stylist, "Give me one of those good haircuts, not the other kind."

How rad are these shoes? I think I actually need to find out if I can walk in them, if they're reasonably priced.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

If a Rhodes Scholar, A Truman Scholar, six Fulbright Scholars and nine Pickering Fellows all walked into a bar, how much would the resulting tab be? Bonus points if you can say who gets stuck with it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So now that I am OBSESSED with "Slings & Arrows" I'm checking out the Stratford Festival (which New Burbage HAS to be based on and also? Go me for saying, "Hey! Wasn't Burbage an actor with The King's Men?")

Aims, during the emergency trip up to Canada, I made M take me over to Stratford (his hometown is only an hour away). There are a lot of swans. We didn't get to see any plays, but we did have lunch in a nearby pub and I did buy some really awesome books on Shakespeare.

Because books.

This weekend I'm having a huge bonfire in the backyard continuing to pack before moving. That's about it, actually. I may have to add drinking heavily in there.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Do you all have updated numbers for the following statement: a Rhodes Scholar, A Truman Scholar, six Fulbright Scholars and nine Pickering Fellows.

Wouldn't she be asking how many your school produced in some time frame? I'm always getting fundraising stuff with those numbers from my undergrad.
