I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That link is completely amazing. I love the audience interaction bits!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Like it looks like "friends only" is the lowest you can lock it down, but if you go to "custom" then you can chose "only me." Annoying.

This is part of why I am still boggled that people seem to be using FB more than LJ. JL custom filters are sooooo useful.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm going to kill everyone. Seriously. There doesn't seem to be anyone who isn't pissing me off.

It helps me a little to know that I'm not the only person at the office having a bad day, but seriously. I'm perfectly willing to blame me, but that doesn't make everything less exasperating.

If only I had a pencil...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You can filter on facebook, too, but they don't make it easy, and the fact that they keep changing stuff doesn't help.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Burrell, I feel too stupid to do my job this week, so. I just thank doG every day that my interns are incredibly awesome and efficient, and that my temps were sent straight from Awesomeland. They cover for my deficiencies admirably.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

The Americans immediately took this opportunity to swoop up all the womenfolk.

Fuck Yeah!

Sounds like a book I should get a hold of.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Made a cake from a mix and put it in the solar oven. I have not made a cake from a mix in more than 10 years, I think. I feel lazy. But I guess I am. I'm hurting plus I was clearly not made to live in a land where temps get over 78F. However, it's true the solar oven works better here. ETA: Okay, not totally lazy. But we have no whole wheat flour in the house and there was no point to making it with all-purpose white flour. In fact, the recipe specifically stated not to use self-rising flour.

Facebook pisses me right off with the way they make opt-in the default and the way users DO NOT find out about these things through Facebook itself but through the tech press. Yet tons of my friends use it and never gave FriendFeed (which was so much better that Facebook bought them just for their development team) a glance. I don't understand. But that enormous user base is what keeps people putting up with them.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I'm telling myself that I'm having a wonderful day so the day will follow.

We blew a fuse in the main circuit box and I don't know how to change a fuse, but I'll be figuring it out as Grace's equipment runs on electricity, yo, as does our AC.

To keep cool, we spent the AM at the mall. Malls at 10:00 AM are mommycentral.

Good luck learning fusonomics, Kat! I can sympathize with the mall-going. I'm going to take a shower now just to cool off.
