Nice to see LOLCats earning MBAs....
There's an event in Beverly Hills that I'd like to attend tonight. It's even a very low admission fee! However, it's an hour and a half there and back on pubtrans. I haven't yet had the stomach to add 3 hours of transpo onto the duration of an event I attend cross-town. Esp when the coming back will be on a bus at night going through East LA. But I don't want to be a shut-in down here, either, dammit.
Can I skip ahead? I don't want to redo this week, but it's been just about a complete bust, and it's not looking to improve. People are just being....and it's a stressful enough week anyway. And no sleep and no food and pissy head and...grr.
And I'm disproportionately distressed that I don't have a pencil today. I might not like anything I'm drawing, but I'm feeling hella compelled to do it, and apparently blue rollerball ain't enough today.
That's kind of how I feel about the whole month.
August can pretty much bite me.
I can't get Outlook to work. I can't get my team to keep me up to date on important stuff. I'm getting busted for not doing stuff I actually did. Our deadline is looming and we're having stupid connectivity issues. People won't email me back. Folks are getting (!) brusque. Did I mention looming? Looming.
I have so many meetings scheduled that the work that's to be presented in them can't possibly get done.
Especially if Outlook doesn't work!
My head hurts, I'm anxious and depressed and have lost my appetite. Skip ahead to September, please.

How about to the 24th?
How about to the 24th?
I COULD DO WITH SOME OF THAT.
::force quits Outlook, tries again::
Ugh, you guys! My August is pretty good, sorry.
Spidra, are you working? When I have time to kill, I always stretch out events as long as possible -- at least it gets you out of the house, right? Bring a good book, and you might as well be on the bus as on the couch...
Speaking of crappy Augusts, a friend of mine was a victim of a hate crime the other week, which, seriously? Also, I didn't know that Covington KY was right by Cincy.
