"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay for Mac and the good day.

From my area Freecycle list:

I have a tree growing on my property that I think either grew from seeds or branches from one on the neighbor's property.

The tree on my neighbor's property is quite tall, so I assume the one that is growing on my property will be tall.

For me. .. this tree is starting to grow by another plant. I don't want this tree. It is about 4 feet right now, but the branches and all are still quite small in diameter, so it will probably be easy to dig up.

As for what kind it is: I know it is not a gum tree, it is not a pine tree. I do not feel like doing to research to determine what kind it is, and I will not ask the neighbor. And, sorry ... I did not take a picture.

It grows in fairly good light, but that part of the yard also gets some shade.

You would have to dig it up.

Let me know if this enthusiastic description has you just wanting this tree.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Aw, msbelle. Good for mac. Now I'm teary.

Freecycling a tree. Well, it's good that he didn't want to just kill it. There are a bunch of pretty trees in the empty lot behind me that will be destroyed when they break ground for the new townhouses, and I wish I had a yard big enough for at least a couple of them.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Chicago ends string of 80-degree days

Tuesday's official high of 79 degrees ended the city's 80-degree streak at 46 days. The last time the official thermometer failed to hit 80 degrees was 77 on July 1.

Huh.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Go Mac!

He's working so hard. He wants this so much.

Well, we're back home and the cat still doesn't want to eat, but she's feisty and it hasn't been that long since she got meds, so.

I probably should eat something for dinner before I crawl into bed.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh, shrift. I hope cat eats soon, and that you get some sleep.

OK, wow--I have no idea why someone on my FB flist linked this, but...I had no idea how indecipherable a small Jamaican child could be to me. I'm unclear how much of this is the "small child" part and how much is the "Jamaican" part. ita, can you verify?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wow, Comcast/Xfinity just "apologized" to me for sending me an e-mail a few days ago that they had increased my download speeds. It was sent in error.

I don't even know what to say.

It's like Comcast saying, "Here, have a puppy! Look how cute and adorable he is. Ops, you can't have him."
