I hope it's nothing, Scrappy.
Evidently today's outfit is "talk to ita" wear. I really don't get what makes men say hello. I have pretty much worked out that wearing a corset means random women talk to me, but a peach 50s shirtdress and crinolines has made more random men talk to me today than normally talk to me in a week.
Aargh- so it turns out I do not actually have my SS card in a box of important papers, and I have no idea where it might me. I can't replace the SS card without a license or passport, and I can't replace the License without the ss card.
Boy, this license better be good to let you into the family section of the White House, as much shit as you're having to go through to get it.
I think I am going to have to go in person and explain, because they can probably pull up my picture and tell that it is me.
Yay! I just remembered that I put the SS card on my sewing machine! (this makes sense because it lives on the desk with the box in it!)
I hope it is something easy, Scrappy.
Sophia, that's nutty.
So the paint comes off really easily from the spindles. If I really worked at it I could get down to wood everywhere. But since I will paint them... Seems a shame, but it would be too much wood. If I DO get all the paint up on them, I'll put a clear coat down to make it easier if I change my mind...
So I got ambitious and strippered up 2 spindles for tomorrow. Which might be a mistake, since I'm also having work done on my doors tomorrow, so it might be a little chaotic. And the weather is supposed to be shit, which doesn't bode well for that work, because at least one is the outside framing.
Oh, and my neighbor volunteered her electric sanders when it comes time. She asked what kind of sander I was gonna use, and I said I'd have to go buy one and was open to suggestions. She told me not to bother, happy to share hers. Sweet.
No such thing as too much wood! And aww, sharing is win.
Today is going to be harvest day for us! This morning we pulled up trial onions and garlic and they were huge! Totally ready. The red garlic was so big I broke the stem off. Then I was digging around it and I was all, oh, it's an onion. But it wasn't! It was just a huge lovely healthy looking garlic! So tonight the rest of everything comes up. Carefully, because obviously they're bigger than I was expecting and if I just dug where I thought I should I would be right in them.
The people at the farmers' market said if I had braided garlic to sell I could name my price. And they were probably right; the garlic that was there was really pitiful. And I seem to do great with garlic. But no, they are not getting any of my garlic! Last year I ran out! And this year I have more planted, but we use a ton ton of garlic. So they're getting none of my pretties.
But maybe next year I'll plant EVEN MORE and try to sell. Have to think about it.
Sophia, does the DMV not have your current address? It looks like they'll just mail you a replacement, to the address on the license. [link]
But maybe next year I'll plant EVEN MORE and try to sell. Have to think about it.
That would be fun! And if you decide not to sell it, you could give it as gifts, no?
