up with the cats meant 4:30 today. ugh x a million. I only really got up because it was cat throwing up, not just cat being annoying. Also there's a kid in my bed and I am pretty sure he has wet his pants. oh also, a tiny salamander thing in the house that I had to save from the cats. oh, good morning, Tuesday, how very Monday of you. DO OVER.

and I have no mac relief today as both the grandparents are busy until the afternoon and then we have his therapy.

Ugh msbelle, 4.30 is not a valid wake-up time. Ask for a refund.

I sympathise on the cats front. Ours were waking us up at 5 on the button all last week. We've changed their feeding schedule and they've stopped, for now. You never can tell when they're going to decide that nownownow is when they want to talk to you though.

I know I was spared this for many years, but SpongeBob? dumbest and most annoying show ever? good god.

Oh dear lord I hate Spongebob. My husband loves it. Yes, I considered divorce, in that "wait, 15 years and NOW I discover this?" sense.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've only watched it a couple of times, but I thought it was funny.

Sorry.

I had a conversation about kids' tv at work the other day, where I restrained myself from saying "You WHAT? Bwuh?" when my coworker said how awesome Ruff Ruffman is.

I do not even know who you are anymore.

I do not know of Ruff Ruffman, but it sounds more like a bad porn star than a kids program.

Heh. The show is called Fetch -- it's OK. It's school-aged kids doing cool (sciencey?) things at the direction of this animated "dog" (?). [link]

I'll just say, it's no Carmen Sandiego.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I was going to complain about Franny waking the whole house at 5:30, but after reading about msbelle's morning, I'm feeling a bit more grateful. At least Franny peed in the toilet--after I reminded her she could go there on her own, sans parental supervision. Oy.

Spongebob is insipid, just in case we're now shouting out our opinions on the matter. But my kids are kind of tv show impaired. I don't know how I managed to give birth to two kids who don't like watching tv or movies, but there you go.

The latest obsession in the house? Nanos.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I haven't watched Nickelodeon in a long time -- I don't really watch the non-HD channels any more. But this week, my cable company started carrying Nickelodeon HD, so I checked it out a little. I'm confused -- it seems like Sponge Bob and iCarly are the only shows it broadcasts, is that right?
