Did you stop and buy a house? Because that would be a real risk for some of us.

Thank you, Dana!
Okay, I can report that the biscuits are a success. Chili is still simmering.
I'm very achey tonight. Too much work on the banisters this weekend, I think. I did apply more stripper to one of the spindles, to see if one coat will do it. Hopefully one night off will help. Otherwise might need to take a longer break.
Thanks Zenkitty. Insent.
Today my knee decided it hates me. I didn't fall or twist it weird, but it hurt. It needs to get with the program soon. Driving back to Cali is NOT the time for my knee to act up.
My dad should be almost back to California. We all survived. I think he was surprised that I'm really an adult who has a nice home, cook fairly healthy, recycle, am a member of our CSA. I'm glad you had a good visit.
FIFTY TWO SPINDLES TO GO. And a post and the top banister.
Why?
Thanks for the recipes, Dana.
I'm glad the visit went well, Suzi. And I love when you get to show off like that in front of your parents. It might be silly, but it still feels good.
Speaking of recipes, I made that AMAZING tomato sauce recipe and it was, in fact, very tasty. Very rich, a bit like vodka sauce. For my regular sauce, I'd still rather have sausage, olives, etc., but I will keep a can of San Marzano tomatoes on hand for the times I want an easy no-prep sauce.
