Bunch of wanna blessed-bes. Nowadays every girl with a henna tattoo and a spice rack thinks she's a sister to the dark ones.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! That's some dumbass shit right there.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Congratulations, Gris!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congratulations, Gris!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I hope Joe's job interview went well.

~ma for Connie's sister (and amyth's brother).

Congrats, Gris!

Well, I definitely still have that cyst in my knee. Walking this weekend aggravated it so I'll be doing bedrest today. I haven't done the work to find a low-cost clinic in LA so I don't have a doctor to take my MRI results to and actually do anything about this. Although I know the best thing I can do is to lose weight, I've been trying to do that for years now! Perhaps a bread and water diet...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Perhaps a bread and water diet...

There's a reason that was used as a punishment...

World's dumbest road trip

Fail. You have to make that road trip with trains.

And legally change your name to John Galt before you set off.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's like the people protesting the Atlantic Yards development because it was destroying the "neighborhood." Um, yeah, I was living in Prospect Heights at the time and a) it was not part of the neighborhood, and, even if it was, most of that neighborhood was a total eyesore.

Most of the protesting I saw was more sophisticated than that. People weren't protesting development in general, they were protesting the idea that Bruce Ratner should be allowed to turn an area zoned for low-income housing into his own personal sleazy tax shelter. Not to mention the fact that the original Gehry "Miss Brooklyn" design looked like a teratoma.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The main opposition group to the Atlantic Yards was called, "Develop, Don't Destroy", affirming that something needed to be done with the rail yards.
